My Sofle died, rather unceremoniously. I was typing something up and all of a sudden column 4 on the left half just died. Instead of going the route of my other Sofle keyboard, I decided it was time for a full brain transplant.
I was always interested about the Nice!Nano, the more premium offering that, along with with Nice!View, could extend battery life quite significantly. I ordered the MCU’s off of MechBoards.co.uk and swapped out the damaged Pro Micro’s and flashed them.
That was quite literally it… no config changes at all. The only difference I have noticed is battery life, and not in great way either. The main (left) side for a couple of days ran through its charge very fast, it has since stabilised and has dropped <10% in one day. The left side, without a screen, will stay at 100% for hours and then run downhill. So that needs investigation.
